Mother’s Garden

God Almightie first planted a Garden. And indeed, it is the Purest of Humane pleasure. It is the Greatest Refreshment to the Spirits of Man. — Francis Bacon (1561-1626)

At St. Peter’s, we are blessed with the space for gardens and the opportunity to make them bloom.

Thanks to the generosity of many parishioners, we can all enjoy our beautiful grounds. Every Mother’s Day, parishioners are asked to make donations to the Mother’s Garden in memory of or thanksgiving for a mother in their life. These gifts are used for pay for compost and mulch, annuals and edging materials, and provide long term funds that will allow the gardeners at St. Peter’s to replace plants that die or are damaged or diseased beyond salvation.
