The Parish Choir is made up of adult members of the Parish who gather weekly from Labor Day throught Trinity Sunday for rehearsal and the principal service each Sunday. They may also sing at other events; and evensong, Holy Day or for Bishop’s Visitation. The Parish Choir is a varied group in musical ability – not all can read music, some have to work hard on their own, but all bring their gifts to this worship ministry.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Warm-up rehearsals are 45 minutes before any service at which the choir will sing. Extra rehearsals are as announced.
One need not be able to read music, but must have a love for it, be willing to work hard and want to minister to his/her fellow parishioners as well as worship in the beauty of word, song and the Breaking of Bread.
Our repertoire is varied. We rehearse each anthem at least three weeks in succession, thereby allowing for absences that are an inevitable part of life in the 21st century.
