Acolytes are a group of parishioners who assist the clergy with the service. They light the candles at the altar, assist the celebrant in preparing the Eucharist, carry the cross and candles during the processional, Gospel reading and recessional.

If you are age 10 or older and interested in participating in the service, you can train as an acolyte. We provide training, clothing and an acolyte manual to prepare you for service. Acolytes serve on a rotating basis once or twice a month. Any person interested in becoming an Acolyte should contact John Newman or the parish office.
